M5 was launched in 2005 as Mirabella V. she was commissioned by Joseph Vittoria, CEO of Avic car rentals. In 2013, she was sold and refitted at Pendennis Shipyard. Changes included carbon fiber rigging, reverse transom, and an extended stern. She remains the largest single-masted yacht ever built. The new owners also added a Carbon Cub seaplane on her stern.
